The quarterly General Meeting is held on the second Monday of the month in January, April, July, and October at 7 p.m. Check the calendar event for the next General Meeting for more information. Members attend free (included with membership) and Guest fee is $25.
History of GaREIA
GaREIA began in 1981 in Atlanta. The association was incorporated as a non-profit Georgia Corporation in 1986, and is now listed as a not-for-profit 501 (6) trade association. GaREIA is one of the longest running real estate investors association in the United States. Members come from a wide range of backgrounds but with a common interest in real estate investing. The Association’s success depends upon the members and the dedication of its volunteers.
GaREIA Organizational Structure
GaREIA is directed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of members of the Association, annually elected by the membership. The main purpose of the Board of Directors is to direct the Association, maintaining the goals and objectives as the governing body. The board, a highly active and organized group with committees of additional volunteers, maintains the Vision and Mission of the Association. The Executive Director manages the day to day operations of the Association.
GaREIA’s Headquarters is a business resource center that provides members with a central location to meet other investors, attend seminars and Subgroups. Seminars, Subgroups and other meetings are held at Headquarters throughout the month. Conference rooms are available for members to reserve.
